Introduction to Advertising
TV Advertising is a span of television programming paid for by a company marketing a product.
The purpose is to persuade viewers to buy the product or brand being advertised so that the company can make money off of it.
It is estimated that roughly three thousand adverts americans consume every day. Adverts are seen on the bus, on TV, the internet, in stores and everywhere possible basically! To not see an advert, you'd have to be asleep. The most uttered word in an advert is 'save' and 'ok'. Advertisers use certain characters/personalities in their adverts because if it's something or someone someone likes, they will purchase it or look into it more, for example. If Justin Bieber was promoting a perfume and his Beliebers (Fans) watched the advert, no matter what they'll persuade their parents to purchase the perfume or get it for themselves just because of Justin Bieber.
Opinion research started in 1982 was and still is important phase of making a good TV advertisement seeing as its the publics opinions to help make the ad.
Research is an important phase of making a TV advert. Repetition was a key to success. Most of the adverts turning out successful relies on the humans behaviors, attitudes, beliefs, themselves and people who aren't predictable. Dogs and cute babies are also eye-grabbing in advertisements.

My advert was ASOS (As soon on Screen) with Georgina, Jordan & Denis. In this advert, Denis was our main model, the shots taken looked very professional, a few street walks and studio shots.
Our aim was to grab peoples attentions and to make the viewers want to go onto the ASOS site and grab a few items. Plus, it's an only online store which makes everything faster. There were messages inserted in between shots to educate viewers more about the store if not known about already. Group pictures were added nearer to the end, using the same idea off of a previous ASOS advert to give it that official ASOS look. All about young teens-middle aged fashionable people!
The advert came out amazing. From the comments it seems like the majority of people enjoyed it. We had a few downfalls during editing/finalizing the video and choice of music for the final piece but we managed to approve of one song that we'd all accept.
I'm impressed with the final piece, the three way shots we used. It was definitely creative in my opinion. The exciting bit was directing the whole thing, being able to do different things and different shots without complaints!

It's very funny. In India. Very sweet. He's buying gifts to himself and making them send it to his office on Valentines day at different times so it seems like he's loved A LOT by loads of different ladies. He baffles his colleagues seeing as he is a regular, introverted guy. The ad also showing that online shopping is very useful and doesn't take time. He's deceiving people. It's all about loving yourself.

Evaluation
I did a lot of planning for my video. I had planned in showing how I was able to make my video profile creative by adding pictures from my modelling days, clips from performing days some mini videos/adverts/tv shows I've done, some footage of concerts I've been to that relate to me and my likes.I weren't able to complete my video as I spent more time helping others film their work which leveled out on me having less time to work on my own video.
Also not being familiar with Final Cut Pro made me spend some more time messing about on it to get familiar with it using minor clips and not the whole video profile but then I got the hang of it and I started editing my profile, adding texts, clips, filtering the video etc. to make the video interesting and effective.
I would have put more work and effort in my work and editing if I knew it would take longer and a lot of time had to be used to make it more professional whereas my video looks very amateur.
I haven't got a finished video but I was able to include the five shots in sequential shooting. My video profile is simple, effects were not used that much during the time. I added music to the background in some parts. My future videos will be professional and more organized and from now on, I would focus more on my own work and get it done before helping others.
Any changes to the video you would want to make ?
I loved the different use of shots that I used in my video (shown in the part of me talking about blogging)
In future tasks given to me by my teachers, I am prepared to put more effort in my videos and the way I work, to not leave certain things behind last minute and to get my work done before helping others otherwise that'll leave and put me behind in the task. From reading the comments, I've noticed that everyone says "Great start" to the course, nice video so far (although it's not completed) it gives some people an understanding and minor idea about myself and hopefully during these two years, I will be able to have accomplished the saying "Great start" to making the ending a "Great ending" "perfect way to finish the course" and for people to be proud of my work which will boost me up and give me extra points seeing as I'm hoping to study in New York when I'm 18 at New York Film Academy studying either Cinematography or Photography.

- Re-do some shots, make them clearer and closer to my face.
- Add an intro, talk about what I'd like to do/going to do in the future after this course.
- Amount of time I've set myself to work on the video.
- Add more information about myself.

Legal and Ethical.
What does 'copyright' mean?
Copyrights is rights granted by the creator of the original work for a limited period of time
Give three examples of different things which you might include in your video and could be subject to copyright
My work,
List two websites that give copyright free music
Youtube.com & Currenthiphop.com
List a website where you can find free or low fee photographs:
Shuttershock.com
Explain what a location release is and why is it needed for filming?
A location release form is designed for instructional purposes and is not intended to represent a legal form. It is needed for use when you are filming on a property you do not own
What is a contributor release form and why is it required?
A contributor release form is started between the contributor and the production team, where the contributor grants their consent to use their contribution in the produced program by accepting the terms.

Viral marketing, viral advertising, or marketing buzz are buzzwords referring to marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networks to produce increases in brand awareness or to achieve other marketing objectives (such as product sales) through self-replicating viral processes, analogous to the spread of viruses or computer viruses.

Glossary of Terms
1. Video Formats, eg. mov. avi - There are different layers of video transmission and storage, each with its own set of formats to choose from. MOV is a file extension used by the QuickTime-wrapped files. AVI means Audio Video Interleave, is a multimedia container format introduced by Microsoft in November 1992 as part of its Video for Windows technology
2. Streaming - Streaming media is multimedia that is constantly received by and presented to an end-user while being delivered by a streaming provider.bThe name refers to the delivery method of the medium rather than to the medium itself. The distinction is usually applied to media that are distributed over telecommunications networks, as most other delivery systems are either inherently streaming (e.g., radio, television) or inherently non-streaming (e.g., books, video cassettes, audio CDs). The verb 'to stream' is also derived from this term, meaning to deliver media in this manner. Internet television is a commonly streamed medium. It's normally a live event from Youtube, Social sites and more.
3. File Compression - File compression is commonly used when sending a file from one computer to another over a connection that has limited bandwidth.
4. Aspect ratios: 4:3, 16:9 - The aspect ratio of an image is the ratio of the width of the image to its height, expressed as two numbers separated by a colon. In still camera photography, the most common aspect ratios are 4:3, 3:2, and more recently being found in consumer cameras 16:9.
5. Frame rates - Frame rate (also known as frame frequency) is the frequency (rate) at which an imaging device produces unique consecutive images called frames. The term applies equally well to computer graphics, video cameras, film cameras, and motion capture systems. Frame rate is most often expressed in frames per second (FPS)
Higher frame rates, including 300 FPS, have been tested by BBC Research over concerns with sports and other broadcasts where fast motion with large HD displays could have a disorientating effect on viewers. 300 FPS can be converted to both 50 and 60 FPS transmission formats without major issues.
